Ajeeta Longjam is a 2012 Indian Forest Service (IFS) Officer from Manipur. She did her schooling from Little Flower School, Imphal and KV No.2 Langjing, Imphal. Further, she completed her graduation in Zoology (Honours) from Miranda House, Delhi University and her name was listed in the Miranda House Annual Roll of Honour (2007-08). She then obtained her Masters in Zoology from Delhi University after which she qualified for CSIR-UGC NET with JRF, twice. She is a gold medalist from the Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun and is also the recipient of the 'Spirit of 1982' for exhibiting Best Communication Skills from the Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy, Dehradun.
Having served in various capacities under the State Government of Manipur, she is currently under Central deputation to the Government of India where she has earlier worked as Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Forests at the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) before joining Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) as Joint Commissioner.
